Ginger Coleman,
RN, Instructor, Executive Director

Ginger Coleman, Executive Director, has over 25 years of experience in Missouri healthcare. She started her nursing career as a Certified Nurse Assistant and went on to become certified in Phlebotomy and Pharmacology in the allied healthcare field. In 1998, Ginger earned her undergraduate degree in Nursing from Penn Valley Community College and expanded her expertise to include oncology, gastrointestinal, and geriatrics. Her experience as Director of Nurses in long-term care has provided a solid foundation for the courses she now teaches. Recognizing a chronic need for quality direct care, Ginger founded Medical Education Development and Support in 1998. Her vision and dedication to quality education now serves as the cornerstone in meeting the training needs in long-term care facilities.

Mary Grace Sharbel,
RN, BSN, M Ed, Instructor,
State Examination Director

With over 30 years of nursing and educational experience, Mary Grace Sharbel has contributed to Missouri and Kansas healthcare systems in a variety of administrative, clinical, and instructive roles. Mary has served both the private and public sectors of healthcare and is the State Examiner and part-time instructor for MEDS. Mary holds graduate degrees in Nursing and Education, and is the Director of Allied Health at Manual Tech School for the Kansas City Missouri School District. In 2002, Mary was nominated for “Who’s Who Among American Teachers” by a former student and maintains professional affiliations in Sigma Theta Beta Lambda Chapter, ACTE, MOSAHOE, AWHONN, Skills USA and AFT.

Melanie Rodriguez,
RN, Instructor

Melanie Rodriguez is one of the most dedicated CNA instructors in the State of Missouri. With over 15 years of experience, Melanie not only teaches her students basic nursing skills, but how to see the world through the eyes of the patient as well. Melanie is well known throughout the nursing community for setting high standards in patient care and for passing those standards on to her students.
